Gerald Anderson
Gerald Anderson
Gerald Anderson is a Taylor, Texas native and community leader who served two terms on the Taylor City Council after being elected in 2019, including time as Mayor Pro Tem, where he was part of guiding the city through major economic development decisions. He played a major role in the council’s engagement with the Samsung Austin Semiconductor investment (a $17 billion project) by supporting amended agreements and broader collaboration between the city and the company.
Beyond government, Anderson co-founded the Bill Pickett Youth Rodeo Association to create opportunities for Central Texas youth in rode, and the Bill Pickett Educational Foundation, which coordinates toy drives and various youth programs — all reflecting his connection to his great-great-uncle Bill Pickett’s legacy.
Gerald also serves as the Board Chair for the Boys and Girls Club of East Williamson County, and is a member of the Taylor Historical Preservation Society.
Alex Allrich
Alex Allrich
Alex Allrich is a small business advocate and community volunteer who served on the City of Taylor, Texas’ Planning and Zoning Commission from 2023 to 2025, where he worked closely with city staff and fellow commissioners to advise the council on land use, subdivision, and zoning matters as part of the city’s growth management process. During his tenure, he participated in the multi-year effort to overhaul Taylor’s Land Development Code, a comprehensive rewrite adopted in late 2023 that helps shape future mixed-use and infill development patterns. Allrich’s position emphasized sustainable, fiscally resilient growth and striving for development that enhances community character amid rapid change following major investments like Samsung’s semiconductor project.
In addition to his commission duties, he also served on the Zoning Board of Adjustment, helping review appeals and special use permit exceptions to ensure land-use decisions aligned with both city codes and broader community goals, and served as Communications Director for TCAN, a non-profit focused on housing insecurity.
